Is Event Horizon A Good Movie

Is event horizon a good movie. Sure there were some plot and dialogue problems but there are definitely some elements that just feel doom-ish. Now a signal from it has been detected and the United S. So yea it has nothing to do with Aliens.

To quote the IMDB page. The only thing I could consider possibly disturbing to most. Science fiction and horror arent usually combined well with the exception of something like Jason X But honestly I really like the idea of these two genres being combined to create one film.

EVENT HORIZON is a movie that starts out using the age old horror cliche of a haunted house except here instead of a house it is a spaceship. Ive got a few in that sort of ballpark the likes of Freeway and Requiem for a Dream lined up for the gutter treatment this year but to get the ball rolling is a real cult favourite in the form of Event Horizon. Andersons bleak slice of horror sci-fi certainly has a devoted fan base but how does it stand nearly 25 years on and how on earth can a film released in 1997 nearly.

If Im correct alot of what was needed never even got filmed due to production budget issues and restrictions. There is going to be some spoilers ahead so consider yourself warned good Sirs and Madams. All The Reasons Why.

Yea Event Horizon wasnt the perfect movie but it was still good and I enjoyed it. The first half hr or so the movie is really good I find the idea of a ship flying into a black hole really cool. Hearing the Event Horizon movie explained it becomes apparent that it is basically a haunted house set in space.

I also LOVE Sphere. Dark ominous mysterious gritty demented etc etc. When the Event Horizon a spacecraft that vanished years earlier suddenly reappears a team is dispatched to investigate the ship.
