Close the oven door and sterilize the jars for a minimum of 20 minutes.

Submerge the freshly washed bottles in the water upside down making sure there arent any air bubbles at the bottom.
Start any of these processes by giving your bottles a scrub with soap and water first. Oven Dry heat is less effective than steam for sanitizing and sterilizing but many brewers use it. If you are making pickles jams or canning vegetables in a glass jar you must sterilize the jar prior to filling in order to avoid contamination by microorganisms.
Arrange your glass jars inside the oven and see to it that they do not touch each other. Boil the bottles for five minutes check manufacturer guidelines for variations. Bring the water to a boil.
